changing bulb behind dials

Question changing bulb behind dials

Hey guys i have a problem. I have blue neons in my car and i have gauges in my RA that light up blue also i want my dash dials to be blue also, If i were to get a blue light and replace the red one behind the dash board would that make it a wierd color or would it come out lookig nice and blue, thanks alot guys

it depends on the gauges...if they are clear it will be blue...if they are red it may come out purple...either way it will work with your blue neons I would think...go for it..

no my speedometer is white im not sure if it will come out blue. And does anyoen know what type of bulb i would need to put behind there? Thanks

I researched it eons ago for my old eclipse and if I remember right they are just gauge cluster bulbs...you can get brighter ones or different colors....you obviously would want the blue...can't remember where I found them but keep looking...they should be easy to get from a performance shop though...if not keep searching the web..thats how I found them...

i saw this url on another forum, granted it is a honda link, but it is helpful. you need to have a working knowledge of electricity such as wiring in resistors, led's, soldering, and splicing.

If you buy LEDs with the same power(voltage/current) limits you will not have to use any external resistors. They should have the bulbs that you need at almost any electronics store(radio shack, etc). It should not be that hard, you could most likely follow a tutorial on any lancer, if there is one, because the gauge clusters are pretty much the same.
