Rear Badges....

Anyone have experience taking the symbol and the lancer emblem off of the rear??....I have this thing against chrome silver badging on the back.....(I know the license plate frame is chrome but I didn't buy that)....

Are these emblems only on with that sticky/glue tape or do they have the holes that click them into the metal.....

Yea they are stick ons. I took my "lancer" and "Ralliart" emblems off. It is pretty easy. All you need is some goo gone or goof off, squirt it behind the emblem and let it soak for a little bit. Then just pull it off. For the glue that stays on the car just soak the glue with the goo gone or goof off and rub it with your finger to prevent scratches. When i get my digital camera back ill post a picture of my car with the emblems off.

use a hair dryer to heat up the the badge. Once its warm, use some dental floss to work behind it and pull it off. Use goo-gone to clean it up, wash it with soap and water and then make sure you wax that area.

Why take it off if you can match any color on your car.

I would just take it off with a screw driver and a knife. If you stab the knife in behind the badge and then stick the screwdriver right in there with it you can work your way around the badge just stabbing like hell as you go....but really, a hairdryer is what I used for mine. I just sat there for like 5-10 minutes on each badge and they basically just came right off. Try not to use any harsh solvents(acetone, etc.) to take off the excess crap as it may eat your clear coat, but goo gone/goof off should work fine as stated above.

Yeah what paint did you use for your emblem. That's pretty badass. I want to paint mine red.. I'd like to get a RED mitsu logo off of a Mirage or a Galant because I'm going silver and red on my car

Hair Dryer & goo gone -- works great -- just make sure you let the goo gone soak a little first. Don't rub to hard or you will get little scratches. Let the goo gone do the work. I started rubbing before the goo gone really started working and have a few tiny scratches.

That was the BEST thing when I had my Element. I got it the first week it came out and up until when I traded it in, people would stare and I could hear them, "what kind of car is that", "who makes that"....it was great.....I just kept walking by.....letting them think it was some new Hummer....lol
