relocating headunit hints
I am 90% done moving the head unit down under the climate controls.. just thought I would let you guys know that:
1. the screws that hold the orginal bracket on the radio is torque on pretty good.. i had to really give it all to break them loose.. i ended up stripping one of them and had to use a screw extractor.. they are very easy to strip..
2. the harness for the headunit is too short... you really have to push the head unit into the opening and try to reach behind to plug it in.. i ended up plugging in the antenna first, which has a bit of slack.. then reached from the top to plug in the other plug
3. the dealer sells the screws if you happen to strip them.. i would recommend you get a few with your install kit, just in case.. i am waiting for one screw and it's holding up the whole thing
