Ski, if you use double sided tape it will come right off with a hard tug. Then you can clean the excess adhesive off with alcohol or some other solvent (goo gone, etc). It won't ruin your headlights, unless you glue it I would assume.

 

Thats right many people use 3M double sided tape, have not heard of any eyelids flying off or being lost at the car wash. We sell alot of them for various cars.

Hey Dave, the eyelids aren't shipped w/ the double sided tape is it?

Also, to anyone that has used the double sided tape. Do you think you could share w/ the rest of us where you placed the tape? I'd guess around the edge's and in the middle....or is that overkill??

 

It is not shipped with tape I suggest 3M double sided.

 

Yeah, the body shop where I had them painted gave me some free tape. It was 3M, but some super strong tape. I wouldn't recommend double sided from the grocery store or anything. But I put it along the whole outer edge (making sure it went all the way to the edge) and trimmed it. Then I put like 3 strips along the middle at a diagonal. They have been through automatic car washes, ~95-100mph speeds on the freeway and handwashes and are not even lifting. So I would think if you can find that strong 3M tape (I think it is the same stuff they use with body kits) you should be fine.
