New antenna install.

How do I do this???

Heh, kidding.

My question is, is metal on metal contact necessary? OR, will LocTiting the antenna on mess up the reception?

Is there a reason you need to use loctite?
I think just screwing it on is good enough.

I just don't want to get my new antenna jacked. In my poor little suburb here, there's lots of little high school kiddies whose parents have bought them WRXs, Mazda3s and other fancy little imports. I remember what it's like being in high school (ie: wanting stuff, being poor, stealing it from others... "oh it's only a $30 part...), and I've caught quite a glance from them driving around town.

If they want the RC car one on there now, they are welcome to it but...
