... located on the Lancer ?, I checked the driver's side door and frame and its no where to be found ? The paint code and interior color code is clearly marked on the door frame on my Civic. Guess I have to look at thee spare tire cover if they did it like GM.

They should at the top of the firewall, behind the front strut bar.

Thanks, I found it, it was exactly where you said it would be, a nice 1-1/2"X3" Mitsubishi logo aluminium tag with the engine code and and paint code.
