Help with turbo

Hello everyone I'm new in the forum and wanted to ask you a few questions. I have being reading the forum and it’s great. Currently I'm making my Ralliart 05 turbo. I have the following:

T3/T4 Turbo
Greddy type blow off
Greddy type intercooler
Greddy Turbo Timer

My friend is going to make me a turbo header for my car soon. But the only problem that I have is with injectors and ecu. I talked to a professional racing mechanic about my car. He told me that he made a RA turbo with 7psi of boost. He had a few problems with the car, especially with the ecu. First he put an apexi piggyback ecu. The ecu worked ok but the problem was that the "check engine" started too appeared. The car started to run slower and was wasting more gas than usual. He put a relay on the maf sensor to see if this could avoid the "check engine" light. But this was no good; the car did the same thing. He ended up changing the ecu for a stand alone micro tech.

I don't want to do this because the micro tech cost more than 1,000. But he told me with that ecu I don't have to change fuel pump or injectors if I only wanted 7psi. Is there any other way that I can add a turbo to my car at 7psi without having to change my ecu???

check out RRM site http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/ they have a piggyback that can be tuned with a laptop for $459. as far as injectors you may to ask thunder_rush from pr where he got his or PR_mivec. But for that price the RRM is the best bang for the buck!

Dude, if you're sweating a grand on your turbo install.... You might want to consider not doing it. A full system is more than a:turbo, intercooler, BOV, oh and a timer... IF you want your engine to last, you need to tune it properly. The stand alone is twice the price of the RRM but I'm sure it's more than twice the control. It's your money and your car. Make the best of both of them!

That piggyback can control gas but can't control the air flow. I already asked information about the piggy back. So the best thing to do is buy the full kit from RRM. I was checking how much would it be to have a custom kit done and its 2 much money.
I have to change gas pump, injectors, buy a custom header, piping, gas lines, oil lines, stand alone ecu, take out motor fans and replace them with smaller ones. Installing the turbo is 700 bucks. On top of that all piping does not have any coating so that’s going to be more money. In other words I'll have to spend more than 4k on the car to have it done.

You might also consider the emanage as a "minor" cost savings over a full system. With the 3 extra harness' you can control airflow, fuel, and spark with laptop tuning. You can find them new and used at various prices. No one said going turbo was going to be cheap! Think of it like a divorce... It's so expensive because it's worth it!

LoL that's true... I'm starting to save money to buy the turbo kit. I sold my T3/T4 to a friend I’ll keep the other parts to put them on my car.

well for one thing the E-Manage does not work on the ralliart,it's basically a Piggy back unit, you need to go stand alone, i'm going to be unsing the Megasquirt system, it's a stand alone system (it's not a plug and play unit) so beware what you are getting into before you buy it. the cost of the Megasquirt system is about $420 for a fully assembled unit, or if you want to save some cash you can assemble it for $225 un-assembled, this unit is virtually limitless, as far as injectors i would recommend RC they are the best and they'er prices are pretty good. But what ever you do, just make sure you have the right combo so to not blow your engine.
