Cause i would perfer to go T/C over the S/C for the fact that going turbo will give you more HP/TQ then a S/C would

The reason his caught on fire was because his mechanic hooked up the fuel lines wrong, he thinks of the kit very highly still

like previously stated, the SC kit would probably be really good if installed correctly, and all potentially problematic parts replaced with quality parts. It's kind of scary knowing that the only person who had actually done this had some problems (completely understated) but that's what makes a good challenge. If the mechanic that you have in mind can think of any problems that may happen ahead of time, that would be very good. Just make sure you and the mechanic check everything over really well.

if he hooked it up WRONG it wouldn't have run at all; the engine would have blown long before it got warm enough to catch fire. I myself think the kit would be good if you had it all hammered out. the fuel line was the problem that caused the fire, but I bet Allen will agree that you can't blame the installer 100% for an untested kit that's supposed to bolt right up and drive away. I am sure that's how it was approached, and I keep trying to tell you that you need to approach it from the perspective that you just bought a bunch of parts and need to figure it out for yourself.

I've seen a lot of poor SDS Kit installs.
02's wired backwards or the 02's had been wired with vampire or splice clips when it states in the instructions "Wires are to be soldered".
Same with the Piggyback "Black Box" tuner.
Injectors not seated correctly "back when they just used bigger injectors".
Fuel pumps installed with torn gaskets.
The list goes on and on with basic mechanical mistakes and 99% of the time the cars run, They run poorly, But, They Run!!!

I was there and got the T-Shirt. The kicker is my SDS Stage-1 install was not done by Joe Shmoe's Auto Repairs; It was a well-known, well respected, shop on this site. After a week and 854 miles of the car running like crap, gagging me with the smell of gas, and a $4,000.00 headache. Needless to say, I went to Ripp's with a Big Bad Attitude.

I was treated very well at Ripp's and I was invited to be right there as they went over the car. I saw the one 02 censer wires crossed, the torn fuel pump gasket, and the vampire clips on the piggyback box wiring.
After all the other shops install mistakes had been corrected at Ripp's, my car ran like Swiss Grape Ape Wristwatch.
After that, the only time the car went back to Ripp's, was for up-grades and tune-ups.

I know two fellas running SDS Powered RA's. The one has been using the V1 blower for the past year, laying down 301at the wheels. Mike in PA is running an RA with the V5 G trim blower tuned at 247 at the wheels and has over 60,000 miles on his SDS kit

Look for a video up shortly of Ripp Mod's SC kit, I was there yesterday and helped the owner film a short segment of what to expect.

A blown Ralliart came in,with 15k on the original kit. The owner went for stage 2, the car made 306 at the wheels on their Dyno Dynamics dyno.

I took a drive with Ross, Ripp's owner and filmed a short video of the car's new-found performance. The video consists of dyno runs, and street runs inside and fly-byes outside the car, as well as Ross explaining exactly what went into the car and how it feels to drive, they should post it up shortly.

It idled smoothly and drove with perfect manners around town. The 10 psi came on instantly, I was quite suprised with the performance.
