Talking Supercharger kit for the 4G69

If I knew something about the model of Lancer you have over there and the 4G69 engine you would have your kits happening next month. Maybe I come across one of these cars and then I can arrange something, but unlikely since we don't have em here.

As MRlancerboy said

Yeah thats good stock, but there is a fair bit of difference between your RA and my lancer. But with one of these superchargers and some other mods i have 13sec potential and i would be pretty happy with that
Our Lancers here in Aus aren't anything like as quick as your stockers, however that said a supercharger kit will always knock 1.7 - 2.0 seconds off your current quartermile time. Pretty easy to figure huh!!

Superchargers with FWD suck. Turbo lag is actually a good thing. The Jackson racing supercharger on the RSX Type-S makes 1st and 2nd gear utterly useless.

Cool why turbo when you can super

The companies Datoo R and RIPP modifications have kits for the lancer 2.0 L OZ and ES but they are still working on the Ralliart 2.4 L MIVEC. The 2.0 L was putting out 274 whp which without turbo lag will beat a STI or EVO on the track. So imagine when the Ralliart gets its super. Boy will that be fun.

I'm looking forward to a sc. The torque could be a bit scary though.

cleotis... the RIPP SC has never put out that much power on the lancer... their max on the 5 speed was 222whp. They have gave and estimation... at least that is what they say when you call them up. They have yet to dyno the Automatic version.

I wouldn't imagine the SC having so much trouble on the launch as has been stated. It's all about the driver and your tires i feel. SC's can be tammed off the line you just need to keep off the gas until your hooked. 5 Speed people are notorious for over-reving on the line and forcing the car into a premature burnout... that kills the launch. Finding that sweet spot of RPM and clutch dump/slip is where it's at.

Personally i think the SC will do much better on the Ralliart than it did on the 2.0L lancer. The 2.0 just seems to like turbo better. I think the mivec on the Ralliart will make the SC scream.

I QUOTE]

The figure on their site says around 272 whp on the 2.0 l and that is only at 9-11 psi. Their sc has a 23 psi max so if you were to put better headers, new pistons and maybe some other work, you could probably get over 300 and up at over 11 psi. You would just have to have your car ready for that boost and plus you would not have to worry about blowing your engine if you know how to drive after all it just air being pushed harder, not like a turbo.

So tell me, exactly how is SC boost any different from TC boost, as far as just being "air that's pushed harder".

a turbo is going to change the fuel and air ratio and how they are distributed to the engine while the sc just pushes air causing the engine to create more horse power by increasing the the rate in whcih all the parts work. This does not cause the problem that when a turbo malfunctions due to user error the entire engine can blow and cause alot of damage. Of course if your engine is not ready for the force caused by the sc you can damage it but with the proper config you are pretty much fail safe you would only ruin your engine by over rev or anything an unexperienced driver might do to a car.
