Well I meant engine from 1995-1996 Evo.

I don't want to be mean, but you're just going to waste alot of money. This another member Illumniti who is doing evo motor swap on his Lancer had already spend around 5g and he's not even finish yet.

Well, it's your project , so good luck.

That's the hardest part of the project.

Well doesn't have to an evo engine. I think Mivec DOHC V6 from FTO will fit (not sure though) But you will have a hard time finding those engines because we don't have them here.

Here is an Evo V engine I found from eBay. I guess this engine will fit, but you wil have to do alot of custom fibricating and especially, you will have to deal with the awd tranny.

I wouldn't call it a direct swap. You will need to change motor mounts, custome build a bell housing, re-wire everything, and the list goes on. I would evaluate the reasons why you would want to do this. If speed is your goal it might be cheeper to buy a used evo then to buy a ralliart and do the swap.

Here's the cheapest place I've found by far for any jdm engine/front cut cars.
http://www.flashoptions.com/

I found them back when I was shopping for my Laser's engine and remembered them again for my Spitfire from hell project (RB20 in a 67 spit Mk2). The spit project is getting more and more expensive... New frame, modifications out the tailpipe to the body and floorpan.... Look on ANYONE'S face getting blasted by a sub-ton vehicle with a distinct "Pssh" sound? About 8-9 grand. Yet still priceless.....

Lucky, If you want to be turbo... It'd be MUCH cheaper to buy a kit... Or even make your own kit for the MIVEC engine... We've got a GREAT platform in the Ralliart...

But if you're doing it because you want to be able to claim an "EVO" engine swap... then you're just going to have to be ready to shell out lots of cash and be ready to not drive the RA for a long time...!!!

Just buy or make a custom turbo kit. I don't think it's worth it if you just want a fast car. If you want an Evo, just get a used one. If you must do a conversion, maybe a Mirage would be a better starting point?

yeah, just turbo the ralliart. 4300 will get u the RRM kit, and then you'll have mivec and turbo. To swap a motor in, might sound cheaper at first, but it gets more complicated and expensive as you go along. Whats wrong with just turboing the 4g69? It's one tough *** motor
