Quick question about motor mounts

I got my 2 part urethane liquid compound (60 shore) today from McMaster. I saw a how-to for filling mounts and this stuff was suggested because of its chemical (as opposed to temperature) drying method.
So my problem lies here... I was just going to do my front motor mount and see how it felt, and if i wanted stiffer, do the rear mount. However, the container of urethane i bought is in two cans, which are measured perfectly for mixing the whole amount. It stresses that partial mixing should not be done as if the ratio's are off by even a little, it can cause premature breakdown of the urethane..
So at this point i think i will just do both front and rear mounts at the same time.. Is that a bad idea?? Has anyone done both mounts yet?
If there is too much vibration in the cabin, do you think i could just drill out some of the hardened urethane inside the mount to free it up a bit?

please help..i feel like a fat kid in dodgeball...only with two cans of urethane..

ive just done the fronts and i dont get any wheel hop any more. and dont worry about the urithane 'falling out'. the mount has a one-piece cover and it has no where to fall. even if it breaks loose, its not going to go anywhere and will still do its job. mine has been in for like 6 months now using the 'cheap temp drying stuff' and its still working great. hasnt fallen out either

hehe...didn't mean to get all up in your koolaid blk-majik.. Didn't mean to make your method sound cheap, i just wanted to try this one out so i could let people know how it works. So i'll go ahead and do both and do a write up shortly thereafter.
represent the cupcake.

i'm pretty sure you know how runny it is, but the results are great. since you've got a lot of urethane, cut out the rubber on the outer edge of the mount with a blade. i have the front filled with 80A and the vibration wasn't even more than i already had (at idle).

no offense take. i just remember a bunch of the OZ/ES guys saying that their mounts fell out. our mounts are different, i guess, caus it seems pretty impossible for them to fall out =) still got my kooaid and cupcakes

www.mcmaster.com is the place to get it..i'll give 2 part numbers for different hardness ratings..
60 shore (soft) : 8644K24
80 shore (hard) : 8644k11

I got the 60 shore, keeping in mind i don't want too much vibration inside the cabin, however i've since learned that the difference won't be overly noticble between the two.
I was going to do the mounts in my car this weekend, but i was surprised with my niece's birthday party (actually i forgot about it...)
Next weekend i'll be in toronto, so in 2 weeks i can do the write-up..
Sorry for the wait...
I am the fat kid, once again...

How do these compare in stiffness to the Windo-weld?

Well, to be honest, i got really busy and didnt do them.. HOWEVER! i actually just got both the mounts off... the back mount was a tedious pain in the ***..
So i just washed them up to get the road grime off, now i'm about to eat dinner. then i tape off the mounts, mix the urethane, pour and wait.. they will be back on the car sunday and i'll let you all know how they feel..

Sweet, let us know how it goes.

Do you know if it's a stiffer compound than the Windo-weld? I think that the Windo-weld is cheaper.

So far, this stuff is great.. Its been setting about 1 hour, its not a liquid any more and definately has set, but still has a long way to go..
The two part compound mixed easily, and poured even easier..
I covered one side of the mounts with packing tape, then sealed the edges and center with electrical tape. I propped the mounts on a table so they were level and stable, then i poured the compound in, gently tapping the sides of the mounts with a screwdriver handle, to ensure it filled in any little nooks..

As of right now, they are setting well.. they no longer need to be set level, and the directions say 24 hours for 80percent cure, so by sunday night they will be on the car, and monday morning afternoon i'll take it out for a drive.

We wait till then...

Here they are.. I've removed the tape from the one side. This stuff is solid now, completely workable. I will be re-installing them tonight, and then removing the jack from under the motor tomorrow evening or so to re-apply the weight. This stuff has a great consistancy. I used some of the extra and poured it into a mini frisbee as a tester piece.. It is completely bendable to the limits without cracking or ripping, and that is in a thin layer. These mounts are going to be tough.
There are little air bubbles on the surface that came up when i was tapping the mounts, so i'm assuming it filled in the inside very well.

The pic is below
