RRM Clutch/Flywheel

Hey i was wondering if anyone has installed the RRM stage 1 clutch or flywheel or both? If so what gains have you noticed from either or both together? Good for drag? I wanna get some feedback on em before i make a purchase.

Check out the below thread and ask that guy. He is the only one I've seen so far that has purchased that stuff.

I didn't know that. But with him having the turbo kit it's hard for him to give a good evaluation of the increases from the flywheel. I'm sure he can give a good review of the clutch though.

i got both of them installed. Obviously u can bang the gears out quicker, but u really notice the power when u realize ur hole body jerks and your engine moves at least a few inches when u redline it (i'd imagine from ur drive train stoping and going so quick. Also it seems like your car has full power between shifts, unlike on stock it takes a second for ur car to get back on it after u shift. ... damn i dont know man its hard to describe in words, and i dont have no dyno sheets, but i'd say it was worth the 1,000 (if u so happen to have a grand lying around).... little note, dont bother installing ths without the clutchline. When i had that stuff w/out the clutchline, i "grinding" 2nd gear EVERYTIME i redlined it. Guys at RRM said its due to the slave in there and it isnt engaging my clutch quick enough with all the extra hp and tourque my car has.... hope i helped you even tho im an idiot when it comes to explaining stuff through words.

motor mounts are often overlooked. as soon as you upgrade the clutch and flywheel you need to consider the motor mounts. a friend of mine has a civic, yes I have a friend with a civic, and we put an ACT clutch and the lightest flywheel (prolite I think) they offer into his car with an AEM CAI and his front motor mount needed replacing after around 1500 miles. It had absolutely no rubber left in it. He went with the factory mount again because his credit was a little short by the time he got done with the koni yellows and H&R springs, kuhmo tires on his 17 chrome, yeah chrome it is after all a only a civic rims. with a brand new mount and another 7000 miles he is all ready having the same problem with the rubber breaking apart in the mount. factory motor mounts, especially in comfy sedans, are designed with the passengers in mind and if you intend to use all of the equipment you add to your comfy sedan to go faster then you will eventually be replacing, either by choice or necessity, your motor mounts. stiffer mounts, such as those made with urethane, will get rid of wheel hop and prevent the engine from torqueing away from the drivetrain creating miss shifts. I am going to replace the mounts in my RA as soon as I can b/c even with everything stock shifting at the redline from 2 to 3 I sometimes hit the middle of the "brick wall" as I like to put it. those of you who have done this know what I am talking about.

^^^^^^

that guy sumed it up perfect (but i had the shifting problem at 1-2, 2 and 3rd was perfect).... i should have put them mounts in the same day i did my clutch and flywheel, o well u live and learn

the lesson here - if u buy the clutch, buy the motor mounts with it

ss clutch line will be my second none power producing mod, after the motor mounts. If the tranny isn't torqued away from the shifter and forcing me to miss third I am sometimes coming into gear a little to strong. I have a problem feeling whats going on unless I am driving barefoot, and since I have little feet I have a harder time doing my heel and toe shifting like that. On top of the fact it's against the law to drive barefoot here.
