my opinion on the DP

ok well i bought the DP and ecu from rrm and had them installed..the DP is awsome, i love the way it sounds. it makes my exhaust sound the way i was hopin it would when i first bought it..the cel light was thrown on at 17 miles exactley..i will be donin the cel fix but i thought eh it can wait since i know why the check engine light came on...but sad to say im not noticing any power gains cuz im babying my car cuz of the ecu as to learn, but now here is a question..when the ecu is learning must i baby my car when i drive or can i let it go all out?

great job on the the products rrm.

You are the first person that ive heard of that actually likes the sound. You dont need to baby it, it will learn even if you dont baby it.

ummm all you have to baby it is for the first 15 mins.... then ****in pin her around the corner. When i got my piggyback ecu at first felt some power gains but then afterward i think it was just me thinking that. i took it out and put it back in and i flet no differece. i dont think it was worth 400 bucks for that ecu..?!?!

THank god finally some opinions on the Ecu(piggyback) and DP. I think I'm just going to get the AEM ECU for out car, cuz I can. I heard from a bunch of people that the DP isn't as big as everyone was putting it out to be. So around 6 months from now i'll tell you guys about the AEM ecu, it's around $1300 bucks, gotta save. Thanks for sharing some honest opinions.

You better know what you're doing if you go that route. Those things are confusing as all Hell to PROPERLY configure. Cause once you start playing around with ecu's that arent programmed directly for your car, and you dont know what you are doing FOR SURE, bye bye engine.

Yeah, should be simular to Hondatas, if not I know some people who could properly configure it. Anyways RRM has a piggyback not an ECU. 2 Different things.

I would have to disagree with you on that statement. I believe the piggy back got my low end torque back that i lost when I put my CAI in. Also when shifting I believe to have slowed down how fast my RPM's drop a little as well.. It's alot easier to stay in the power band without going all the way to 6k

ok last night i was pushin my car a lil and dam i can really feel the power difference already..me and this girl in camaro were goin at it and i, sad to say took her, the only time she got passed me was when i had to slow down for the red light as where she just flew by me and the red light..my buddy who was following me says it sounds way better then those hondas and tht i actually sound like a subaru a lil...really really plzed with my products rrm.

but i have a question now...when i was steppin on it my car just loved goin to the right side when the power was gettin to the good part, is there a way to fix tht?..thx

Torque steer. The only way to get rid of it is to get an LSD.
