CAI in winter

Does that have a CAI on their car, will your drive with it in winter?

I don't want to have to put the factory box every time before winter.

Is there a danger to drive with it in winter.

No, it just means the air coming in is even colder. Cold air is better for your car than hot air. I would rather have a CAI in the winter than the stock box in the summer.

So you wouldn't take it for winter. Other opinions. I want to have a lot of answers before I make my purchase.

I leave mine on in the winter. Cold air is good (cold air is more dense and has more oxygen, so more power). I just make sure that when spring comes I clean the filter to get any winter crap off it.

And for guy's that lives in Canada, what do you think. Express yourself if you have a CAI. Do leave it there in winter. Did you have problem with it.

Thanks for the opinions. Good advice to clean it in the spring

I'm probably going to leave mine on in the winter because I'm lazy and the dense air is good.

If it snows or rains a LOT though I may have to convert to SRI. You should get the Injen one as it is 2 piece and can be coverted back and forth. CAI > STI

I have the injen CAI/SRI and its no problem what so ever. Get it, install it, and forget about it, oh but remember to clean the filter once and a while.

i would leave it. the filter is not under the car, per sal. its still protected by some molding and such. just be sure to clean it off when the snow melts, as everyone was saying.

Leaving mine on.

Makes more sense to do so.
