RA Steering Rack

Does anyone have the specs on the Rack (i.e radius or whatever other specs you'd need)

I'm trying to find out if anyone makes a aftermarket rack that will fit that has a smaller radius...and preferalbly a varialbe radius.

I'd like the car to have a "heavier" feel. That similar to a WRX/STI, 350Z and others similar.

Any info on how to achieve this would be helpfull.

I can tell you that you will have to upgrade the whole system because it lags under heavy load. try and jerk it from one side to the other at a stop with the engine at idle and even upwards of 3000RPM. bad pump design I believe. I have every part in my RA replaced as far as the steering system is concerned and they can't fix the problem. If you find anything, please post up. I would love information.

On another note, and not to hijack your thread, does anyone know if the pump can be switched with another more powerful pump but keep the stock components? Like is the difference in pressure going to cause a problem?

If you haven't already noticed this issue on your RA, go try it. I bet you have the same problem I just described above. Thats why I am posting my question here, not trying to take focus off your topic, just help out in the long run so you don't end up replacing the rack and running into even bigger problems than me.

May I ask why you would want heavier steering? This is one of the things that makes me wanna drive my RA on spirited mountain runs!
