RRM Axleback Questions

I've done some searching, and I find that some get burning from under their body skirt, some paint burnt off from the heat? And some I hear have no problems with the system at all. Can anyone actually verify this? Thanks

For a direct-fit, the thing fit directly onto my bumper and melted the paint
And also, this brings on the CEL? Like I said before, some said it did, some said it didn't, can't seem to put a finger on it.

Thanks again

The axleback WILL NOT cause a CEL. The downpipe might, but not the axleback.

my old custom exhaust used to make a brown color on my bumper. it was pretty annoying..so when i got my new muffler..i had them stick out the muffler a little farther so it wouldnt discolor the paint.

As long as you install it right you will be far from the bumper and never come close to burning paint. Never had a complain about RRM Axelback burning paint. Greddy Catbacks on OZ have done that.

+1 on what ROCK said. Their axleback will not burn your paint if you install it correctly. You could probably have their tip right against your bumper and it won't burn due to the double-walled tip.

I too can confirm that it does not burn paint, or cause CEL light to come on...

I puy mine on last summer, it was so easy and the fit is so good you would think it was factory, except it sounds cool. No burnt pain either. Some advice, buy the exhaust, put it on and be happy on how much better your car sound and how much better it looks with the huge tip on it.

alright thanks for the reply guys. All questions answered. I knew the downpipe caused a CEL but I've done some reading around and I remember someone said after installing the Axleback it caused the CEL to come on every so often... but anyways, questions answered. Thanks for for the direct replies guys
