cool, I am from Charlotte too(assuming North Carolina is your Charlotte) I will save you from being flamed, you have to search before posting. both of these parts have been covered many times over.

There are some pretty good gains with the downpipe, and the axleback should produce some, but if you are planning on doing your exhaust you should wait and see what the whole package RRM is working on will cost and how much it will produce. They are working on a header-downpipe-catback system right now. There is a thread here.

On another note, if you have a budget there should be a plethora of dp's for sale on here once the header is released since they will not botl up to each other.

Where in Charlotte are you, I have been waiting for some local RA guys to get on here. you have any car buddys? PM me if you want to hang out, or if you want some free track time I can give you info on that too.

Welcome to the forums.

Downpipe and axleback sound horrible together under 4000 RPM. AS long as you stay above that all the time IE. Race conditions you would be fine

Wait for the header/DP/cat option from RRM

To get an idea of what the downpipe sounds like, here's an interesting activity to try. To your best ability, attempt to mimik the sound of your car with your own mouth as it increases through RPMs. Got that sound? Good. Do it again while holding your nose. That's how it sounds, amplified by about 20.

I posted a video in one of the downpipe threads awhile ago where you could clearly hear my car with the DP and axleback combo. If you want to hear it, search for that.

dont get us wrong the DP has GREAT gains and I personally like it. The only thing i dont like much is the sound it makes , but that can be fixed.
