RRM axel back
RRM axel back
hey im lookin to purchase some mods from RRM in a couple of weeks. Im looking at purchasing an Axel Back exhuast from RRM ( i would buy the full cat back , but im a cheapy =P and im low on cash) thats besides the point, I wanted to know once you remove the stock piping/muffler, does the axel back parts just drill in the existing screw holes or does more work need to be done, like welding or something like that which takes up a lot of time.??
and does anyone have a clip of what the sound difference is, or atleast what it sounds like? gracias!
Pictures are always great

PLEASE SEARCH FOR THE SOUND CLIP
as for your other questions. Once you remove the stock exhaust system, your axleback will bolt right up. HOWEVER, you must get under the car to check if you have a triangular bolt flange, it will consist of a triangular looking connector(3 bolt places). If you have that then it will fit.
No welding is needed. Time takes about 10-15 minutes to take off the old exhaust and in with the new. I did have to modify my hangers, the mech that helped me install couldnt get it on to fit. However, others have got it to fit no problemo.
If you want pics, you can check out my car domain link in my sig.

^ depends if you have any knowledge to do such things, if you have a friend or family member that does this stuff it'd probably be helpful. It's not the easiest thing to jack up the car/electric lift it and get the stocker off, it is bolted on tight. Wouldnt hurt to have a mech do it

I had to cut the nuts off my stock muffler (they are welded to it) after breaking the bolts because they were frozen. I have metal cutting blades for my skill saw, you can also use a grinder. I bought three 3/8X1 3/4 bolts with lock washers from Home Depot to replace them. Check your other post about the cat if you want power not sound.
Before you go and buy RRM's axleback you should check out how much your local muffler shop would charge you to do one. I got a complete cat back for less than the axleback. Just throwing out some options for you.
