We had to take our lancer back to mitsu, wouldnt go into reverse. and second was grinding pretty bad. they replaced the 1-2 and 5-reverse synchros, and when they pulled it apart the pressure plate was cracked so they replaced the entire clutch as well. Luckuly it was all under warranty, and they let us use an '05 2.5 jetta for the week which was sweet. For the record I <3 warrantys! I've been wanting to start moddin but dont want to void the warranty... Hope that helps!

Time for your car to head back to the dealer for some warranty work.

Yes, taller 5th PLEASE.... I always feel like I should shift to another gear on the highway... Leave the final drive as is... That way I can have a sporty car in town, and still cruise out of MIVEC on the Highway...

Yeah this weekend sucked driving on the highway at 4k+ rpm in 5th gear on the highway for over 100 miles. Still managed like 26 MPG though but a taller 5th gear or 6th would be niiiiice.

taller 5th... mmmm that'd be nice...

i had synchro problems, but they only come when i'm launching hard and shifting fast as hell. But recently they went away.. so iono if i should be concerned or not, everything's fine now. Always had some trouble getting into reverse, but it hasn't gotten worse, just easier to get it in... maybe i just had to break it in? iono

Well there are several things that we can offer for the Lancer Ralliart transmission. It's a pretty stout transmission to begin with and with some machine work a few of the EVO parts can be used.

I'm looking for a customer.

not a 6th, because all other gears will have to be weaker... just like in EVO

but a longer 5th should be possible.

with all gears weaker it would benefit traction loss in first and second right.... it might not be so bad exspecially in turbo'd applications.........and umm one other thing did anyone else see that Myszkewics changed what GEARS said even though he never said it ?!? IT'S THE MATRIX AHHHHHHH......J/K...........kool trick though
