Next mod: P&P IM or RRM Header/Downpipe combo
Next mod: P&P IM or RRM Header/Downpipe combo
The ported and polished Intake Manifold and the RRM header and downpipe combo are almost almost close in price and between these two what would be a good step to go next? Current power mods, Injen CAI, Pulley, Piggy Back, Axel Back. Sound would be my concern with the header/downpipe at the moment but I can deal with it.
In regards to the sound, your next mod should probably be replacing the stock resonator with a 24" magnaflow resonator. A few people have done that now, and all of them say that it made the sound much better. Another mod that would be a good idea would be RPW's phelonic spacers. Install these at the same time as your P/P intake manifold, and it'll keep it nice and cool to the touch.
first thanks otter b/c i didnt really know what those were. second i think the IM might be next. now you're done on the intake side and get the $200 core charge to start saving for your next mod. if i stay N/A i will be doing that next.i have the same mods as you.
Id go with the P&P intake manifold, simply because its cheaper. Although the initial investment is about the same, as mentioned earlier you will get $200.00 of that back when you send your other intake manifold in. On the other hand, you'll have people saying that the manifold does you no good without some freeing up on the exhaust side of things. I'd still go with the manifold as my mods list usually goes a little something like this: get what I can afford at the moment.
well exhuast mods work better w/ more intake mods and intake mods work better with exhaust mods. besides when RRM says a 7-10hp gain i think thats with no other mods so with some little things to support it you'll be good.
