dyno day...
so a friend of mine invited me the other day to check out my ralliart on the dyno to see my numbers. At least that day the dyno center was giving free passes to everyone. Ok, so I have intake injen, stock pipping without cat w/ stock muffler plus piggyback untunned. My friend made the first run and guess what: 140 whp. My friend was really confused and decided to make another run: 138 whp, and the last one 135 whp.
one of the guys at the dyno said the car was really hot to make a good run, and yes, I went from my place to the dyno (a 15 minute trip) plus all the flooring I did to check out if the piggy was working. But my question is, do you have to let the car rest until its cold enough to then make a good run on the dyno to see the actual numbers?
this really bugs me, especially since my car is running completely like another one (in a good sense) and yet it puts down the stock ralliart numbers.

There can be a number of differences that will make a car perform differently on a roller dyno eg rim size and types of tires if you have tires that are not 100% then you may have wheel slip, the air temps is another thing that can affect readings also what gear did they do the run in 3rd 4th or 5th? what sort of fuel were you using...
Thing is don't get too discouraged by dyno numbers - you were in love with your car before you had the run nothing should change that especially a dyno - dynos are great for one thing and it is the one thing that they were designed to do and that is tell us how to tune a car it is only a tuning tool... good news is there are plenty of mods that you can now do to make the car respond better.

its a 5spd 06 ralliart. I don't remember humidity/temp #s and was done in 3rd gear. I ran the car for just 15 mins, and when I got to the dyno like 5 mins after, the car was doing the first run. I really believe it was too hot for the run.
by "untuned" I mean just the set-up rrm did. The piggy will be tuned* today on the same dyno (sorry for the confusion). This time I'll let the car rest for a while and then do the set-up.
