The AC is on the same belt. It will continue to run as normal. I am unsure why your are confused.

I believe you are misunderstanding how A/C systems work. Everything that worked before the pulley will work the same way after the pulley is in.

i have the pulley and know it works the same. but my dads kia sedona the pulley or w/e for the AC actually lifted off the belt when not in use. found that out when the pulley locked b/c it wasnt in use but didnt lift off the belt and then tore through the belt. does our car run the pulley for the AC even when we dont have it on?

The only thing is that it is supossed to rob some voltage from the alternator due to the fact that it is now running at a slower speed. But that is BS cuz I had mine since mile 13,000 and its still coming strong now at 45,800 miles, no problems whatsoever, voltage running strong. If you have your doubts still, just get a grounding kit to give voltage more continuity.

And that nice accel the first 3 gears is totally feelable from the get go. Just get enough traction, if you chirp second for too long its a little slower to built back up due to the fct that it take about 3 punds of torque to give you 8 whp dyno proven by me

I think you are talking about the electro-magnetic clutch the engages and disengages the A/C. Pretty much all cars that have A/C run this set up. When you turn the A/C on it creates a magnetic charge for the clutch which, in turn, engages the clutch alowing the compressor to pump the freon. If this part of the assembly seizes up it will burn up a belt or shred it very fast. Yes, our car turns the A/C pulley when the car is running but it doesn't engage the clutch until you turn the A/C on. The pulley never moves off of the belt, what you saw moving on and off of the pulley assembly is the A/C clutch.

Did that clear it up for you?
