Installed Intake Manifold......but

O.K. I installed the manifold , pain in the @ss , but the point of this is after the install i went to the auto store to get some radiator fluid , because of the loss from the install...so the car runs good and everything but when i am at idle the temp gauge flies up i keep her moving so it would stay down ...after i got the coolant put in i still had the problem ....i was thinking maybe the thermostat went out but i'm not sure ....this is my daily driver so i really hope someone can help me .......any real help would be very much appreciated...

Check if by any chance you removed the plugs that supply power to your radiator fans. Dont know how that would happen, but those sinthoms(<- sp?) by experience say theres somethings wrong with the fans. Either the plugs got disconnected, the wires going to it broke, a disconnected or bad sensor

first, did you mix it 50/50 with water, also did you let the air bleed out? this is when you open the radiator cap, and turn the engine on till air stops coming out, and you add more coolant.

you have air in the system... Thats a classic symptom... You may have to bleed it out at the highest point...

Yes, buy the premixed stuff, its easier... You should be able to remove one of the heated throttle body lines, and pour the radiator full until you get fluid out of the line at the throttle body... It should be the highest coolant point on the motor if I remember correctly...

Sounds like an air bubble in the system. You need to BURP it. Sqeeze the upper hose, that should get the bubble out. DO it with the radiator cap off.

yep...I agree.

Jack the nose of your car up, add water while sqeezing the hose, air bubbles should come out.

+1

You can also try running the car until the engine it warm, with the rad cap off so that as the fluid circulates in the sytem it might circulate the air out...

These 2 things are the easiest, and perhaps quickest ways to get an air bubble out, trust me.

first, thanks for all of the help ....it wasn't the fan , the connections,.....i added the 50/50 coolant and after last night ...the problem stopped ....i don't know what to say ,it runs fine ........i am still going to "burp" the system just to be sure ,thanks everyone for the help .................................................. ..............................................now on a different note , the manifold is bad@ss , the car runs smoother though all of the gears and mivec...more like MMMMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVEEEC ...the manifold took some of that raspy noise away also ...the stock one is going out tomorrow so if someone is out there and they want it call RRM in a few days, the wait sucks ....but it is worth it thanks again to everyone that helped out with my problem and thanks RRM for the awesome product ...I'll be calling you guys soon to upgrade the brakes, etc.

The stock clutch... more like the pressure plate, its a very flimsy and frail... anything past 20 hp horses more than stock to the wheel, and the clutch slips under the power... has to do more with the restrictor plate in the clutch line, feels a bit better with a steel or steel braided one... RRM has a stainless line... should help a bit

I went ghetto and fabricated a steel one using a brake line. But the clutch obviously lasts less s mine is constantly is CLUTCHES ON ICE, and no one yet has a viable solution that isnt so EXTREME as a solid disc
