RRM Headers and Flexpipe

Hey guys. Ok here is the deal. I have had the flexpipe in my car replaced twice by the dealer under warranty for that stupid rattling that happens to occur with quite a few mitsubishi's (Lancers and Eclipses) i have heard. They work fine for a few thousand miles but then start rattling again and it is sooo annoying and sounds just horrid.

So i was wondering if by getting the RRM or the RPW headers would that eliminate the flexpipe, or does the header need to be bolted onto the flexpipe after you weld on a bracket? Cause if the headers will just elimate the flexpipe and bolt right up to the cat or anywhere past the flexpipe for that matter, i think i would have to do that to just avoid the damn problem all together. Plus i get a sweet little mod.... and its about time!
Thanks!

Getting either companys headers will not eliminate the flexipipe. The headers needs to be bolted on the flexipipe, both header/downpipe comes as a package from both companies.

I wonder why it rattles? Is everything bolted on securely?

The RPW/RRM headers have flexpipes, they're a must. However, when I had the RRM downpipe, their flexpipe section was much more sturdy than the stock piece and never rattled.

I heard of this problem with the stock flex pipes before, haven't had it on my car though. I have the RRM Header & Downpipe and it's the BEST! Of course no rattling.

The RPW header will certainly replace the stock one - as well the RPW unit is a new 2 1/2" diameter flex pipe with a single high flow cat converter on the end as well so you get the benefit of the headers, a better flowing flex pipe and a better flowing cat converter all 2 1/2" . fit it up with a 2 1/2" cat back system and yo uhave the best exhaust you could want for the vehicle
