question for he Automatic RA drivers.

i was wondering if any of the AUTO Ralliart drivers tried out RALLIART MIVEC ENGINE UNDERDRIVE PULLEY KIT. what i want to know is how dos it feel in an Auto? i was thinking of getting it since i feel a bit of lag when i gas it in my car, so i was just curious and wanted to ask.

I drive a manual, but many of the auto ra drivers have this modifcation. On a manual, there is a reasonable amount of difference, pulls better as the pulley is well constructed and much lighter.

I'll let the auto boys explain this one for you

that bit of lag is basically the computer downshifting for you..i'd imagine with the pulley you would rev faster due to the lightened weight and gain some mid-top end power.

coz on the test drive the tiptronic seemed fun, do alot of late night driving after work(midnight finishes = tired), easier in carpark, was supposed to drive to the city daily for uni till petrol prices dramatically increased ...
anyways with that out of the way...

it depends, the pulley should help with the lag(im yet to install mine) but it depends when u are experiencing the lag, coz it may be just that it takes a second for the ECU to process u pressing the excellorator and the increase in fuel to get to the engine.
to help with this part, RPW recommend upgraded or bored out fuel rail that they offer ...

but yeah the pulley should help, will let u know soon (hopefully)

MONSTARR, personal choice I guess.

Like any modification which weighs less and is better constructed, will free up hp.

I drive an auto and it makes the car more responsive especailly on the low end. it'll def. help the lag on the gas.

because im lazy? lol. actually the RA is my daily driver and i get stuck in traffic alot and i thought a manual car would be a little to much trouble for me. Plus at the time of buying the car i wasn't really thinking out modding or doing anything with the RA, other than driving it casually around town, school and work.

ok thats good and thanks for the feedback. i might buy another ralliart(thats manual) in the future but i like the 04-05 front ends and around where i live they are hard to find. So if i mod my auto and but the manual i'll just switch everything over or buy doubles of products, hehe.

for me when i bought my car i had just been in an accident and my last one was totalled. i drove for work so i needed a car asap, didnt know how to drive stick yet and was losing pay checks until i was mobile so didnt want to learn right then. now that ive learned how to drive stick the thought has crossed my mind of purposely running this tranny into the ground after i pay off the loan and putting in a 5speed.

I have the UD pulley and the RRM SRI, Ive had both for a while now and I had gotten so used to driving it, then I had taken the parts off for somehting and drove it like that for 2 days and I really felt like a big difference, it just felt weird without them. Id go for it, its inexpensive and effective.

Well im gonna start saving for the Pulley Kit and a tiebar that ralliart329 recommended to me in another post. suck being a poor college student and having a 45 min drive to school... gas is expensive around my place, $3.40...

get that degree and you'll have money in no time seriously tho, i drive an auto and the pulley didnt do much for me. i mean there was a little, tiny gain but nothing to go crazy about. now the intake, however, is a whole other story...
