Pulley installed

Just installed my underdrive pulley this weekend... have to say that I noticed a little bit of a difference... throttle response is definately there as well pick up on the highway when trying to pass the person going 45 in a 60...

Also had a couple of questions..

1) did anyone that installed the pulley notice a difference in engine sound after install? nothign really significant ... i notice a little deeper sound when i take off from a red light or when i get on the highway.....?? or is it just me imagining things(<---- a possibility because i work graveyard and get little sleep with a 10mnth baby at home)

2) i have an 05 outlander.. same 2.4 mivec as the ralliart, could i see results if i installed the pulley on the 'lander too? Would it fit?

3) Buy one if you haven't definately worth the money and pretty easy to install, i did an oil change/pulley swap at the same time.. took me like 1hr 45min... hardest part was pulling the damn shrouds little buttons covered in muck all over the freaking place...

Also maybe it was luck but the new belt was easier to put on then taking the old belt off...

thats all...

My experience

1. I noticed a change in engine sound. But then again, thats maybe because I installed the CAI at the same time.

2. You probably will, if its lighter and better constructed and it fits I don't see why not.
- Also, did you mind taking a photo of the outlander from under the car. We have a member doing an AWD conversion and needs to know what it looks like under the car. Or you can PM Diavlo. Cheers.

Congrats to a purchase well worth it! If I'm not mistaken, most members find this product the best bang for buck!

1) did have a difference but i did the SRI at the same time ... so wouldnt here pully if it does :S
2) should fit since it is the same engine, maybe just check belt routing or length but i couldnt see why not
3)pretty easy to install yeah, main trouble was that it was hard for me to move the tensioner, and at the end i was left with too many screws/plugs for splash guards - recommend using a pressure washer to clean under there maybe the day before u do it ...

1) dont remember

2) def. should fit but since the engine is the same. if you call RRM they'd probably be able to tell you for sure.

lol i had the same problem... every time i take the splash guards out i have extra plugs...

tensioner wasn't such a problem with me... i had the car up on a lift so pretty easy access... i was afraid to pull it at first ... but then said "what the hell" gave it a tug and slid the allen key into place.

got the SrI on its way and the I got the lower tiebar... so much powder coat making it hard to shorten up the tiebar to fit... im talking i put it in a vice and using a breaker bar for a little torque and still can barely twist the thing... powdercoat is definately doing its job..

does the 4g69 in the outlander have a 6v belt? That would be the first thing I would check on, since that's the most likely thing to be different. the mounting points will definitely be the same, and it will make a difference in power because of the size and weight differences.

I've got a question about the Pulley. The crank is semi-balance, and the original pulley help to keep the the motor sleeping. So I hear that with the new pulley the engine is shaking a little more. So my question is, Is it worst for the crankshaft bearing or the internal pieces at long terms ?.

I've never heard anything like this before. My engine still shakes as much as when I bought the damn car. I think the shake is your typical engine

Thrice,
This question has been answered many times already. If an undampened crank pulley is enough to kill your engine then you have bigger things to worry about. The stock pulley is for dampening only.
