Best Short Shifter, and brass Vs. Ploy Bushings

So i havent done any mods to my car in a while so, I have been looking into to making My car more enjoyable to drive. so i want to get a Short Shifter, shifter bushings (underhood and shifter base ones).RRM SS Clutch Line, Works Clutch Cable, and also engine Dampener.

I want to know who makes the best quality shifter, and which one has the shortest Reduction %

Also

Which kinda of shifter bushing should i get brass ones or the kartboy ploy bushings, i heard the brass bushing cause wear but a harder and stronger.

Can Anyone Help Me Out?

I have heard from peeps with the short shifter that it isn't to much of a difference, the bushings and the motor mounts would be more benificial IMO,and if you wanna make it shorter you can remove the black plastic spacer and drill out the knob about 5/8s of an inch and you can reduce the shifter an inch by doing this....

Herez my setup, and I love it:

Works 15% short shifter
Works counterweight shift knob (nice screw-on type, no crappy universal fit!)
Kartboy under base & under hood bushings
RRM clutch line

I like this setup, and it's deff shorter than stock. I'd prob go 30% though. I was affraid it would be too stiff, but I tried one vs mine, and it's not.

B&M setup looks nice too.

The brass bushings are the stiffest you can get. I've seen no excess wear on my car since putting them in 60,000 miles ago. Despite what the above people say, there IS a very noticable difference when you install a shortshifter. The stock "short" shifter that came with the car isn't very short at all.

I went with the budget setup when I did mine, and it's every bit as good as most of the other SS kits out there. Cost me around $130 total.

- Authority SS (about $50 + cost of new shift retainer)
- Speedsource brass bushings (underhood and shift base - $50 for them all)
- GReddy counterweight knob (about $20)

Ok so i think i have made my mind. i am going to go with

-works 30% short throw
-somekind of counterweight knob.
-speedsource brass bushings
-RRM SS clutch line

also Works sales a cluth cable, i remeber way back someone told me you could use both of them togather is that true. or are they just the same part.

Just gut your clutch restrictor and then get the works clutchline to remove the rubber section.

It's noticeable, but not dramatic. I guess it's one of those things that's more of a complementary mod when added to everything else.

You should take a look at the noobie thread at the top of the general section. Yes, all Evo 5 speed SS will fit the car. Lancer ones should be identical, as well. Short shifters can be bought just about anywhere. Most vendors have them and they're all over eBay. The brass bushings can be bought from speedsource or an Evo vendor. Zaklee bushings can be bought in the Ralliart classifieds. Poly bushings can be bought from Kartboy.
