Hot damn, if I told you taht about a year ago I had a IM and I gave it to a local machinist to port it... never to see it again...the guy moved....I paid him 90 bucks up front too

He had me BIG time

I paid him up front because it was a big time project... it wasnt just port match to the head, it was open the plenum, open the runners all the way.. So he asked the up front fee for materials..... Still got jacked, and I dont know where he left to

Nobody can open the intake runners using just a dremel , it is just impossible to reach the inside part of the curve, extrude honing can do this but again is sort of more expensive and in the end you won gain that much compared to port matching

Cutting and welding...the idea was to ELIMINATE the nasty bend, making the IM shorter, port the minimum bend/shortened runners... On paper it would look closer to an Evo's Mani

Therefore the Fee for materials

I think 90 is too cheap for all that work you should've known

it was upfront for the materials, welding on aluminum is expensive, and the type of weld needed for it to come out right aint easy to get a hold off. I trusted the guy cuz he did the job on the Mirage and it came out real nice

I was supossed to pay the rest when it was done
