What was it migue, high lift? or the duration difference?
the lift wasn't changed a whole lot, at least as far as how the mivec lobes engage. I am assuming the increase in duration won't let the rocker arms stay out of the way long enough. The ECU is supposed to compensate for this, but with the speed of the camshaft and the close tolerances involved I am sure there is a point of no return.

you got to post up what your cam guy does about it man we all want to know!

I just had a thought, maybe the issue is that the low and mid range lobes are closing too far from the high speed lobe it seems like since the tech article says it's supposed to engage the second time around if it misses the first that it's not really controlled by the ECU at that point, but by the physics of the rocker arms themselves. When you change the duration on the high end lobe without changing the low and mid range lobes the high end rocker will not fall into place when it should and is being pinched by the pistons in the rockers instead of falling out of the way. It's all conjecture because I'm not looking at the head, I'm actually at work. when I get to my dads house on Saturday I am going to take an in depth look at my spare head, there may be a way to prevent this
