leaky exhaust?

ok so after getting my dp and cat welded in and bolted on...
i find it sounds pretty nice with the magnaflow muffler

but at certain gears/revs... i get a occasional higher pitch raspy sound from underneath... so i took it back to the mechanic that installed it and i coulnt feel any leaks...(with my hands near the welding areas)...

does it mean there might be a tiny leak somwehre? jus sound isnt consistent...

I have a tiny leak when the exhaust is cold... but yea i dont mind it only lasts for like 5 min. I think i'm leaking around my O2 sensor since it was stripped upon installation from the factory. I had one hell of a time getting it out...

I know what you mean by lag. Right now I'm having problems with the catback leaking between the midpipe and the axel back. Since its a clamp style fitment it doesn't seal 100% which kinda sucks sometimes cause it makes a hissing sound when i get on it while the exhaust is still cold. Also I'm noticing some leaks in the welds around the resonator... if water/humidity can get out of it so can water. Gonna take some exhaust sealant goo to it sometime next week.

I gotta say, for the amount of problems I hear about after upgrading the downpipe / header... it doesn't seem like it's worth it. Does it really make a big difference in performance? Or is it sound that you guys like? I'm almost thinking about keeping stock exhaust and just adding a piggy and intake manifold to my udp and cai.

How does the performance compare to stock?

the dp does have improvements..

there is a special Kick when you gun it... but overall you can save money and just customize your stock dp

i ripped open the stock dp heat shield covers and it does look really crimped up..

i dono why they did that
