Dealership. I don't even see the part in CAPS, which makes me think it's built into the throttle body, in which case you'd need a new one.

Very. $600+ (list price is over $800.) However, for some reason the throttle body off the 3.8L V6 Eclipse is only $163, and it's electronically controlled just like ours. I've been told that it bolts up and does work on our car, but being a bigger TB it'd probably require a bit of tuning to install it.

^I was just downloading the new CAPS to check this out. Is everything on the V6 throttle body the same as the 2.4L (aside from size)?

That's what I've been told. It's probably going to have to be one of those things where somebody volunteers to be the test dummy and shares the results with the rest of us. For as cheap as it is, I'm sure there's somebody who would do it. Ideally, whomever does it would be wise to make sure they have a way to port out the IM where it mates to the TB, as well, so everything flows well.

i didn't have to buy a new TB because the TPS isn't part of it, it is on the evo i believe but not in the Ralliart

I think you might be confusing the TPS with the accel. pedal position sensor, the thing up by the headlight.

Mitsu told me that it was the TPS, but i def wouldn't pass it by them to tell me the name of a part and it actually be something different. it also was up in the front of the car

Yeah, that's definitely the pedal position sensor, not the same as the TPS.
