Drop in acceleration/hp after 4500 rpms

Well I was driving the other night and for the first time in about a week I went over 4100 rpms. I hit about 4300 rpms and the acceleration just drop as if i lose torque. This happens in every gear and at any throttle position I put it in. I clean the throttle body a month ago along with cleaned the air filter 3 weeks ago. The problem just started about a week ago and I don't know what to do.

It just feels like i shifted into a new gear and its rebuilding power. I have the RRM piggyback and it has been tuned, but hasn't been touched in over 2 years, since then I haven't added any power mods. I have a wideband and its still reading rich when i'm on full throttle. It seems like the car all of a sudden just runs lean. I have a CEL for a dead heater core on one of my O2 sensors but I've had that for over a year now...

I've asked a bunch of my friends and they don't have a clue what it could be, so I'm turning to you guys as I admit I'm not very knowledgeable about the meat behind an engine.

Just for ****s and giggles, disconnect the battery and let everything reset, and see if the problem returns.

Just like with computers, try rebooting first and see what happens.

hm... good point I'll do that now. For the last 20 minutes I've been trying to find someone to come over and help pump the clutch for me while i bleed it.. wound up snagging my neighbor's 12 year old to do it.. I offered him candy... anything sound wrong with that to me? hahaha

My reasoning for the quesiton is that sometimes when my car coasts to a complete stop in neutral it'll come to a stop. Right as I'm stopping the car's rpm's drop and the car pulls forward as if its still in gear, then it goes back to normal. I find that this happens most when the car is colder however today it happened the whole way to school.
So many freakin' problems with this car and I don't have the knowledge to assess any of it. All the shops I've been to want cash to even look at it even if there might be nothing wrong. /endrant

Well just to add, what are some common symptoms for a failing throw out bearing? And are there any companies that make beefier TOB's for our transmission type?

The TOB doesn't do anything except when the clutch pedal is pressed.

If the car's in neutral and it's surging forward, I would wonder about either shift cables being out of alignment or something being wrong inside the trans.

That's what I was afraid of... the shifter seems fine, I'll pull out the shifter linkage bushings and grease them up and see how that goes. Hopefully I don't have to pull apart the tranny..
