Transmission Swap

Which transmissions bolt up to the Ralliarts 4g69 motor. Could a transmission from the Evo be used. What about a lesser model Lancer or older DSM???

Can't use Evo because it's an AWD trans. Can't use older DSM because it's setup to be oriented in the opposite direction. Not sure about the 4G94 Lancer.

Hmmm. I was just curious about this. I don't know what I was thinking on asking about the Evo tranny. I knew that would be different.

There are a couple of members who are trying to adapt Evo trans to their FWD setups. One has a regular Lancer, the other a Galant. They can be converted to run in FWD mode, similar to the way older DSM trans could, but with a few important caveats. Might lookup their threads for more info.

Thanks. I will look into that. I'm gonna be getting a new car and keeping my Ralliart to mess with is what it is looking like but it is an automatic. I am looking into the costs of things trying to decide whether to modify it the way it is or go for a transmission swap. I just think that the swap would be so much money it wouldn't be worth it. Way more fun though. I miss my first car due to it being a manual.
