I tried the product. It does not work for the ralliart. They are electrically incompatible. In fact a year or so ago I purchased and tried every single piggyback on the market and tried them all. None work. That's why I developed a reflash. Sorry.

I highly suggest megasquirt. It can be made to fit any application. megamanual.com

I highly recommend that you speak with a professional tuner before going the megasquirt route. It's a $200 engine management solution and you get what you pay for. It can be made to work but it really doesn't have any proper closed loop, idle control. The startup strategy is pretty basic and the hardware is not exactly designed or built for reliability. I understand it's a grassroots system not designed by engineers, programmers or people who do that sort of stuff professionally. It's good for people who want to learn the basics of tuning for cheap.

If you do not wire in the MAF intercept then sure the safc will not harm anything. Unfortunately because of the way the factor ECU reads the MAF signal it's very very difficult to correctly modify it without having unintended side effects.

You CAN install your SAFC!!! You just need to know how to do it. Check this:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/04...-ralliart.html

Been running with it for about 9 months with no problems. The only downside it that you only can tune while in WOT, other than that, when it is in close loop it will return to stoich tune.

Very nice. You've solved one of the two electrical problems. The ECU has 2 sampling modes for the MAF so your circuit, although it provides enough drive current has know way of knowing which sampling mode the ECU is using. It still doesn't solve the open loop/closed loop issue. You can do that with some sophisticated narrow band emulation (you need a wideband) but I found that method just threw a lot of check engine lights. When it becomes available a reflash will just solve all those problems.

There is. It's still in beta testing. I've got a number of people here and locally who are running very successfully with reflashes. I'm not a vendor here and am not selling them yet. When the reflash hardware is available I may sign up as a vendor and start selling or I may just pick an already active vendor and wholesale them. I haven't decided yet how to market the product.

Yeah, you are right Mike, still can't adjust close loop.......maybe if running NA and minor-mild mods may be a great option; but if you are going forced induction (like I will - soon) may help but it is not the best; the main problem will be mid throttle boost.
Anyways Corton, if you have a RA and have a SAFC (as l did) you may spend 3 bucks and make your Apexi run....it is WAY better and much more fun than nothing, at leat until Mike finishes his reflash P)
