Dyno charts and/or time slips after mods?
Dyno charts and/or time slips after mods?
Looking to see what kind of difference bolt-ons really make on these cars. Does anyone have dyno slips and/or time slips showing the results of intake/exhaust/ecu piggyback, etc...?
I plan to put mine on the dyno after it's got a little better tune on it. I'm currently running CAI, UPD, headerback exhaust, timing box, and piggyback oh and port And polished intake mani. I'll tell you one thing though after I put that piggy on that car became a whole new car
The piggyback settings don't change per se.
The ECU has many different maps and values it uses according to operating conditions. For example when the intake air temp is hot it pulls extra timing, when it's cold it adds extra timing. A piggyback can't take these factors into account so it may blindly add timing. On a hot day then your ECU might learn that it's knocking when it shouldn't be so it starts using more conservative settings. As a result your car has become un-tuned until the ECU is reset so it can revert back to the settings from before. The dangerous part is if you advanced the timing and it was already in the conservative mode resetting the ECU may detonate the engine to pieces!
