CAI question

I was wondering if anybody could do me a favor. Anyone with the rrm, injen, or aem cold air intake measure the inside diamiter of the tube closest to the MAF sensor with a pair of calipers and let me know the size. Stock is about 2.385 inches. The reason im asking this is because i bought a cheap ebay intake and i just wanted to know if they used a much larger tube that suposed to be, it doesnt work well with my piggyback. Cause if i do buy a name brand one i dont wanna have the same problem. Many thanks

the aem, injen, and rrm intake all reduce from the 2.5 to stock i believe. i know what ebay intake your talking about i had one and its a aem replica but when i got the actual aem one it reduces pipe sizing.

alright thanks man. So if i bought the AEM intake off rrm's website would i have to send the piggy back to rrm to get it to work right with the intake? Cause when i used the ebay intake with the piggy it made it run like complete crap haha. It studdered all the way through the rpms like it was way too lean.

I was getting a P0171 - system too lean code after I installed my RRM CAI. I was able to adjust my piggyback myself to compensate. It got worse with the cold weather in WI, so I had a summer tune and a winter tune.

The piggybak SHOULD accomodate for it so just put the aem on and see what it does. Where are you located? The map on my piggy should work if you get problems with the cai an I can send u my piggy map

i live in ohio right now....ya i did some more research and saw a pic of how the injen reduces is AEM the same way? Cause when i had the ebay intake on it missfired and chugged while idiling but still never threw a code which is a mirical. Maybe i hadn't drivin it enough to throw it. And i had another question kinda off topic but will a usb to serial cable work to connect my laptop to my piggyback cause i tried it once and it didnt even recoignize the piggy was connected.
