Just to be sure... Header+Downpipe

I am new to modifying cars so i was just wondering if it is correct to buy a header and down pipe combo for my non turbo application ralliart? I had always assumed that downpipes were only for turbo charged cars. Am i mistaken? I see that RRM offers the headers for an 04 ralliart but they come with a downpipe.

yeah i was asked that question too when i went to a shop and wasnt sure how to explain that to them. basically on a non turbo car its pretty much just a really long flex pipe lol i dont really know how else to describe it

i have the rrm header/downpipe setup and it rocks. just if you go turbo you're going to have to replace the header/dp anyway with a new one so unless you're not going to be turbo for a long while and just want some nice power for the meantime go for it
