clutch slip of death

Well the clutch is on its last leg first gear stutter slipped this morning second pulled through but the rest was like a fat guy on a 3 horse go cart. I got no power to the wheels but unless I baby the gas peddle to match rpm, I'm clearing 6 grand with no resistance or response.

Basically I know I need a clutch, but is a flywheel necessary.
Also could someone point me to the best cheap upgrade from stock on both please

ive decide to go with the act hdg6 and wait on my flywheel so i can save a lil and get a udp with it. ralliartize it tells e i my need a new master cylinder with my clutch upgrade so i my have to look into that as well.

but on a side not anyone lookin for a clutch, i found this place called clutchflywheel.com ive searched for 2 days straight for cheaper clutches and that place is the best i found. they are cheaper than ebay in most cases.

Your flywheel maybe able to just be resurfaced, rather then needing complete replacement. Any machine shop should be able to tell you once you bring them the flywheel...

Correctly speaking you may need a new clutch master cylinder, not master cylinder. And that's only if it's leaking. You may also want to install a new slave cylinder as well.

Resurfacing the OEM flywheels on our car isn't the best option considering they are dual mass. The shops that have the machines to resurface dual mass are far and and few in between.

ive had problems getting into second for longer than the clutch has been slipping i dunno what that is causing that but ive been told many things slave cylinder being one of the possible reasons or syncros(which is what i've been told more often.), but im hoping it was just the clutch. my master seems fine for now ill just keep an eye out when i get the clutch on it. i ordered to clutch yesterday it ended up being like 345.11 shipped and all but i guess ill order a new flywheel when i get my next credit card bill and pay it cuz im almost maxed where i still havent recovered from christmas and being out a job for a month.

it won't cause any problems if i drive on it till i get the new flywheel will it?

with the cylinders should i just go oem or is there a place i can get a more performance oriented ones?

Find a clutch master cylinder from an Evo 8 or 9. if it's from the 9 make sure it'f from the 5spd. There CMCs dont have the plate that leaks and it fits perfectly on our cars. I did mine's last summer.

for the question of if you need a fly. you might just be able to resurface the fly. if its tourched like mine when i bought the car then you will need to replace.
