Just installed my CAI from Road/Race.My engine is LOUD!! Way faster too!! Install wasn't hard at all. You can hear the MIVEC kick in about 3500ish rpm and scream till redline. Not too shabby at all Exhaust is coming next

Ahhh, you saying that reminds me of my friends old Del Sol. He had the 94 160hp VTEC Del Sol and when he stomped on the gas as soon as that car hit VTEC man oh man was that car loud. It sounded f'n great! I'm hoping with the CAI and when I get exhaust for mine It'll be similar. Not as loud since our cars aren't DOHC, but should still be really nice... Cant wait till I order mine. How long did it take RRM to have it at your front door after you ordered it? And how long did it take to install?

Either leave details here for everyone who also wants to know, or PM me. Because I'll be ordering a CAI from RRM in the next couple weeks.

Thanks in advance.

The sound of a DOHC and SOHC VTEC aren't as different as you think. I have SOHC VTEC in my Accord which is similar to the MIVEC in the Ralliart/Galant. When my car was stock, there wasn't much difference in sound after VTEC kicked in and it stayed pretty quiet. Now that I have the the AEM V2 CAI, it gets twice as loud when it switches to VTEC at 3500rpm. It goes from a quiet growl to a very loud scream that is very obvious especially from outside the car. The RRM CAI should do the same for your Ralliart since they both use a similar variable-valve-timing-and-lift system.

Shipping took about a week to arrive from the day that i ordered. Install was 20 mins or something, the CAI came with printed and pictured instructions so that helped out a bunch. I really want that exhaust now, we'll see how much $$$ i get from santa this year Maybe i can get that strut bar too

Thanks for your input. Yeah his car would also go from a nice growl to a scream once he brok VTEC. It was rather intimidating to say the least.
