Similar shift issue help??

Hey i understand u had a similar issue to what i have and 90%fixed it with a tranny flush? Heres my issue sometimes (rarely) doesn't want to go into 1st usually when sitting at a light, seems tight and resistant up shifting from 1st-2nd or downshifting from 3rd-2nd. Do you think a tranny flush will help me?? if not its probably a good place to start i guess.
Also my throwout bearing squeaks when i push in the clutch did u have a similar issue? i had Mitsu replace it but within 10 days same problem Thanks

hey rob, where you from?

anyways, anything with gears not engaging, or do but with some difficulty, i would just go for a flush...i also have synchro problems, that's another possibility aswell...I'll be rebuilding my transmission in the next month or so i'll address those issues then...

but again always go for a flush and replacement of fluid first, anything else you're going to be taking stuff apart...

At stop lights i sometimes encounter resistance going into 1st, but if i let the car roll a little bit, i just slide it in...like don't come to a complete stop, let it roll ever so slowly (i mean really slow) and let slide it in, i'm not sure myself if that's a synchro problem, or some kind of gear damage, but that's my work around...

not sure about the TOB...i have not experienced any problems with mine, other than a slight whine...

give it 3 days of driving it should improve

there is probaby still some physical wear within the tranny...that's life

i'm living with this as well, just grampy drive her for a few days and see how it goes...monitor fluid levels too..

same problem, once

I had this problem once, I picked my wife up from work and everything was fine, I went to get off the interstate and suddenly had to clutch pressure and it would not go in and out of gear without hard shifting and matching the syncros. long story short I had blown the clutch master cylinder. I would recommend keeping an eye on it, its only about $250 for a replacement one thats a little beefer, however when your car breaks on Dec 23 you get stuck with a $500 bill. just food for thought. other than that the only time i had a problem was occasionally going into reverse from a stop it never seems to want to go right away. i would say a good flush and bleed should fix your problem.

O man.. Im worried about this.. Im experiencing something close to this.. But I have recently finished my 50k maintenance.. and it was done by the dealer.. Im not quite sure if they have done their job properly.. or its just my **** instincts? haha .. but my gear changes had been a little more stiff than before..

OFF TOPIC.. ROB were you selling your car? I swear i saw your car listed in kijj
maybe 5months ago..
