Exclamation Whats this? another exhaust thread!

So... yeah.. this is another exhaust thread and i promise i searched and searched first!!
But what i want to know is, how many people would be upset or mad if i got a Flowmaster 40 series muffler...?
I've been pondering this for a few weeks now and the reason for flowmaster is because everyone pretty much has magnaflow and they sound great, i just want to try something different... so what does everyone think?

I'm using a Cherry Bomb Turbo from NAPA, i had a guy driving a 9 MR ask me what exhaust i had cause it sounded great, i told him cherry bomb, and he looked surprised then proceeded to inform me he had his eyes on HKS, LOL!

For a 60$ muffler it sounds awesome, it's cheap, and has lasted so far, no issues what so ever.

Ultimately, it comes down to what you like and can afford.

If you're interested in more than just what the car look and sounds like and really care about performance, it would be useful to read this:

http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_artic...st-system.aspx

You need an open core, straight through muffler for best performance.

I've had flowmasters. I liked them at the time, but that was ~15 years ago. Now they're old technology and you won't get as much performance out of them as some of the newer types. Also, they really droned at about 1800 RPM. I wouldn't put a flowmaster on my car today.

I was getting ready to wash my car today and when i was moving it i heard this clunking noise when i revved it up. So i washed it up and everything and started polishing my exhaust tip and i figured out the clunking sound.
Where the factory flange is supposed to be, there is a piece of pipe in its spot (i don't know why?) and the weld on the bottom has rusted out and the pipe is sagging down and bumping my rear sway bar... Great, more work!!!
(Timing belt in next 600 miles, adjust the valves, my calipers need painted, i think i have a front wheel bearing going out, i may have the fan control unit going out, i need a muffler for inspection, and now more exhaust work) its never ending!!!!!

I'll vouch for Cranswick's can, it actually has a quality sound, as good as anything.

this one i posted in another thread, it was before my reflash, it was making weird sounds near red line, you can't really hear it in the video much, but it'll give you an idea. This was before the reflash, it's kinda loud in the cabin because of the short ram intake, which i'll be getting rid of shortly.

For the record, that's an ABS light, not CEL...again this was before my timing belt went, and my only mods were intake and muffler. Oh, and the SRS light, cause i disconnected my passenger seat to clean the carpet with the battery hooked up, durrr.

http://youtu.be/yyyvRObeK8Q

Don't have any drive-by. And after the Reflash it actually sounds different slightly.

Sounds pretty good again. I just don't know what to go with, i think there are so many mufflers out there that can and would sound great on our cars but there aren't too many people with different setups.. I got on summit racing
( http://www.summitracing.com/search/Department/Exhaust/Part-Type/Mufflers/Universal/Yes/Inlet-Diameter-in/2-250-in/Inlet-Quantity/One/Outlet-Diameter-in/2-250-in/Inlet-Location/Offset/Outlet-Quantity/One/?Ns=Rank|Asc ) and there are so many options and its hard to choose! There are 132 choices and thats with it narrowed down a good bit. i guess i'll just keep doing research and hopefully find something. But i am still open to any and all suggestions that everyone has, so keep them coming! Thanks!
