need help with tranny

ok I know I am slow but I need to know what this bolt goes to

this is the veiw from the top of tranny. I may have made a big mistake due to the fact that I put tranny fluid through that hole.

looks like a manual, and that bolt should only be threaded near the head, and just a smooth shank at the bottom. if so, that bolt actually just a retaining/alignment bolt for the interlock plate on the control shaft for selecting gears, as long as nothing moves you CAN put gear oil through there, though you should use the proper procedure, then you know when it is full...however some people like to over-fill the gearbox a bit, and so what you did would be a good way of doing that...that bolt also if removed will allow you to remove the control housing and assembly.

don't sweat it man...is it already full? an extra quart won't hurt anything...at the very worst it just more fluid the gears have to cut through...whatever, dude i wouldn't worry about it...

the fill plug is on the front...the drain plug is at the bottom driver side of the differential case...if nothing came out of the drain plug, you either pulled the wrong bolt, or your transmission is empty, and you need a few more quarts of gear oil, lol any 75w90 will work, synthetic is better...
