It's possible, but I had also cleaned the connectors and made sure they were snug just to be sure.

I really dunno. But she's all good now, and that's what matters

This car beats the hell out of me sometimes lol

It's the RRM CAI that uses the stock rubber elbow, I don't think they're selling that one anymore? Their site pics show a full aluminum piping CAI these days (pretty sure that's just the regular AEM CAI)

maybe there's a reason they discontinued it? could be a problem with the MAF using that pipe...

I haven't had to cancel the PCV for either short ram or this version RRM CAI, the SRI had a bleeder to run the line to and the version of RRM CAI I have uses the OEM hose with the existing line.

My brother had to cancel his on his Spec-V though, he like nubbed off with the existing line and shrink wrapped the top of it I think..? It's worked so far haha

Yes... it usually (for atmospheric pollution reasons) gets routed back into the intake. A lot of guy's i've seen have just bought a little filter, and stuck it on there and vented it to the atmosphere. It can result in a fine if caught though.

well I was asking how did you cancel it because it is a "vacuum leak"... its not the big deal but if you don't cancel it then there's one possible leak....

since pcv relief has oil in it, and it goes after the maf... (yes, believe why it is after the maf... its because oil screws our maf haha)... ..

I would do the next to cancel it... buy a big hose, route it to dissapear somewhere behind the engine and put the small filter on it, so whenever you get revised no one suspects that... in fact oil gases are "good" for our intake since the combustion chamber gets somewhat oiled and protected and blah blah.... down here in monterrey, mexico (is below Usa border with texas), we don't have emission regulations or so.. so we get rid of all that kind of stuff, cats, pcv, egrs, etcetc haha

I walked into an exhaust place here after installing my header/dp to get a custom exhaust figured out, they looked at the hi-flow cat I brought *for measurements* and began hacking out a chunk of my dp to weld it in right there in front of me... as they're required by law/policy to equip a vehicle missing a catalytic converter with one before putting it back on the road

I see what you're saying now though - we ran an ether test, basically expelling a highly combustible gas, around all the vacuum lines, intake manifold gasket, injectors, intake etc. to see if we can catch a leak in the air/fuel delivery system.

When ether enters the system through that kind of leak you'll notice the car pick up idle suddenly. You can use the test to pinpoint small leaks in vacuum lines and stuff
