I'm also interested in finding the easiest way to replace the rear mount. Mine has a decent tear in the rubber so it need attention as soon as i can find a used one that i can fill to make a solid'ish mount...

You can get some bolts for the rear mount from underneath and some on top you can't really put a ratchet and socket on it so you'll need long combo wrenches and it helps a lot if they are ratcheting

hmm yeah, i did mine when the transmission was out of the car...but now it's toast again...the crossmember has the steering rack, stabilizer bar, and lower control arms bolted to it, i don't think it's as easy as just dropping it...racerx is correct ratcheting combo wrench = win

My engine has some serious rock to it!

Are the mounts from RRM the way to go?

Also, I noticed that they sell the front and rear mounts, do the side mounts not seem to wear?

Its more for my rear transaxle bracket that decided to snap due to my front crossmember snapping also... lots of luck, but yeah, even if i were to drop the crossmember even a couple inches along with my exhaust flex pipe flexing would it be possible?

Tom....rrm just fills the oem mounts with flexane which you can do yourself if you have your car down for a 24-36 hours, not that it takes that long to do but letting it cure takes some time. Or you can get an extra oem set and make your own, so you just have to do a quick swap. Look in the how to section , it tells you how to make your own, it's pretty cheap and easy.

Mike....The angle is just difficult to work with when underneath and from up top it's so far down, that's why I say if your doing a head swap or installing a p&p intake manifold thats the time to do the solid motor mounts.

Its not that easy. I would undo the front one so engine has room to move. Will need a long extension. When mounts are loose u can wiggle the t case to sneak it out.

the "transaxle" or transmission is on the driver side...so your timing side engine mount (actually the only mount actually connected to the engine) is toast?
2006 RA is correct, if you can't pull a part number from mitsubishiparts.net catalog, i can get you the part number when i get home...at work right now

is the bracket the same for all lancers or are we different due to the different transmission?

I'm installing the rear motor mount and the bracket that comes off of the transmission that holds bolt that goes through the middle of the motor mount is broken off on the passenger side
