Clutch/Flywheel combo's
Clutch/Flywheel combo's
Hey all i was browsing ebay when i came across this. Is this a legit Exedy clutch and fidanza flywheel? If so its not a bad deal. Also does anyone know the specs on the OE clutch? As in the tq capacity?

any N/A application will be fine, turbo, super or nitrous you'll want a stiffer pressure plate...looks legit, and i have no idea what the torque capacity is, but if you have plans to make big power gains, i wouldn't want to find out the hard way...
i don't think the kevlar justifies the extra cost, the pressure plate is what really makes the difference, i know a lot of guys high power cars that run OEM discs with very aggressive aftermarket pressure plates...
The clutch in the link is just an oem excedy replacement around 250, an the flywheel is about 250. So it's not any spectacular find or anything .
I'm looking at that Stg 3 clutch too but im not 100% set on anything. As for the the flywheel I have seen people buy them and love them and buy them and sell them for lack of love. Our flywheels are somewhat unique in that they are dual mass, which es done to help quiet down the drivetrain mostly because of the stroker design having for lack of better words an imbalance. I have seen a few flywheels for sale in the for sale section , I don't think there is any problem other than added noise and relearning how your car shifts. Some people might not like the change though.

Well im thinking CM or ACT. CM stage 3 kevlar or ACT HDSS. Given the two any other recommondations or opinions of these?
Also regarding the flywheel. Should i just resurface and shave some lbs off the stock?
Who has lightened their stock flywheel?

i have ACT HDSS, which uses an organic street disc, no different than OEM, again, the HD pressure plate, same as the older 2100 is what gives you the torque capacity...it would likely be similar to the CM stage one...
as for the ACT, i love, i'll buy it again...people were giving it a bad rep, but i think the issues were related to other things, like running stainlesslines, and bypassing the modulator...
