Hi new to this . Joel my son has 2010 Ralliart sst started to over rev like a slipping clutch . Mechanic has car and says a plastic cover seems to be leaking . Does anyone know about this or what we can do . Thanks Geoff.

 

Assuming you're talking about the plastic cover in the front of the transmission, that is likely the rubber seal that needs to be replaced. I'd look into changing the transmission fluid with an OEM filter and for fluid either OEM Diaqueen SST fluid or Castrol Transmax Dual (for dual clutch transmissions) make sure its SPECIFICALLY TRANSMAX DUAL as Castrol has a few different Transmax fluids.

 

Thanks for your reply. We are changing oils as advised it is with an Audi VW specialist as we can't use mitsubishi dealer as they don't know the car here . Am looking to find the seal but her in NI the dealers want to sell us gearbox complete At about 3500.00
