Exclamation *UPDATE* Ralli-Art WHP and TRQ and other competiton vehicle...?

Ive found about 5-7 different stock RA whp/trq numbers, so im confused. What does a stock RA dyno? Also what about its competition like (stock):

Ralliart - 146hp & 149trq
GTS - 151hp & 112trq
SpecV - 143hp & 150trq
Corolla XRS -
sI - 136hp & 93trq
Focus SVT - 148hp & 130trq
Mazda3 -
Neon SXT -
tC - 130hp & 141trq
RSX and Type-S - 135hp & 129tq / 168hp & 122tq
v6Tiburon - 152hp & 166trq
2.5rs -

am I leaving any other cars out? Stock form aswell, and NA for the same price. I believe these cars range between 14k-20k.

They say around 146 WHP. I believe RRM is basing their gains around this dyno run as well, if not, then something really close to it. Everything I've read has been around 145-149.

out side temp. & humidity can change a dyno. The calabration from one dyno to another may be different. Small differences from one car to another will cause differences in HP. There are a million reasons why not all stock RAs dyno the same.

I've not seen an actual stock dyno from RRM, is there one? On the dyno chart on their page, the one with the ECU/intake/exhaust, they only give a ballpark on a stock RA.

I read in SCC that the Tc is 151 whp with intake and exhaust, they tested a 5 speed in the november issure. I thik the v-spec is 175 crank dont know about on the dyno I test drove one before I bought the ralli art and the ralli art was faster.

According to SCC the RA puts 157 to the wheels, while the spec v puts 151 down.

Yeah I'm not sure what the hell was going on in that issue. The RA puts down better numbers but get's beaten pretty good in the quarter? Somebody needs to quit clutch dumping! 'Sides, some good tires and a fat rear sway would change nearly all the test results... that and they just have a hard-on for the spec. Most other publications I've seen test the two side-by-side say the RA is faster.

The Spec-V has a 6 speed manual with shorter gears and it also comes with better stock rubber. This will make for better launches. The Ralliart may make more power, but these short comings hold it back. As far as the cars listed above, I would leave it as follows.

We loose:
05 RSX Type-S

Drivers race:
02-04 RSX Type-S
Celica GTS
Spec-V
Corolla XRS
Civic SI
Focus SVT (extinct)
Tiburon GTV6

We win:
Mazda3
Neon SXT
tC
RSX
2.5rs

These estimations are based off of torque figures, gear ratios, and weight. However, a poor ralliart driver could loose to any of these guys. Again, they are estimations

the spec also has a limited slip. I still think with a good set of tires the RA would come much closer, or outright win against the spec on the 1/4. Either way, it would only be by a couple tenths. I've had my RA for 2 days now and I already hate the stock tires.

Oh... and on the Civic SI... it's a lame duck, I'd stick it in the "we win" section. They need the Type R with the 200hp motor to contend for the fastest N/A FWD crown.

I test drove a V spec 6 speed and it is not faster than a ralli art. I am sure of that, besides that car is just plain ugly and there is no supercharger, or reliable bolt on turbo available, I looked into all the aftermarket stuff from stillen and parts were more expensive also.

the RA dynoed better than the SPEC V because of the LSD. That piece will suck a little HP from your car. Also..IMHO, Mitsu under rated the RA. I have read several times that the car Dynoed 150+ WHP. I cant wait to set mine up on the Dyno (Nov 7) and see what it does.
