I have a faze tach that i have been trying to install ,but i cant find the wire that conects to the green wire that the tach comes with.....has anyone installed a tach on there Ralliart? and where was the wire that they connected the tach to??

don't ask why i put the tach there!!!

 

just a silly question, why would anybody need a second tach when the stock one works just fine?

man i have been installing a shiftlight for about a month now. I got everything hooked up except the wire to get an RPM reading. The dealership told me that I cant tap in to the ECU Because i wouldnt get the right reading. They told me i would have totap in to the coil pack. hetold me it was the Brown wire coming out of the #4 cyl. I taped into it and it didnt work im not sure if i got a bad connection or what i havent had time to look at it.

 

Yeah....I was wondering those two same questions before!
1. If ya already have one why?
2. If your gonna get one why there?? kinda defeats the purpose...you have to take your eyes off the road to see your rpm??

 

Well, using a big tach is easier when racing, but only if it's up in your field of vision while looking where you're driving... Anyways, not sure which wire it is, anybody have a service manual? I haven't picked one up yet.

 

the reason i got the tach was because of the light that turns on when im going to red line it!!!!for race use only!!!!

 

You can buy a shiftlight for that purpose, id rather have a shift light attatched up my steering column like the WRX has its boost guage there.. That is a pretty stupid spot for it, doesnt it get into the way when shifting into 1st 3rd and 5th?

 

no it doesnt get in the way and the shift light is in my steering column........By the way i gave up on it and have taken it off ........

unless you actually race your car, it's money better spent elsewhere anyways...
