Lol! And everyone who does get in an accident had it all planned out, especially the ones hit on the side

For those debating whether to get side airbags or not, they're $100 for the difference between the lowest side impact crash rating and a halfway-decent rating in every compact car I checked. Lancers with side airbags hadn't been tested yet when I looked (when I bought my car) but the pattern was the same with every other car, and the Lancers without side airbags had the same terrible side impact scores as every other compact.

I think it's an obvious choice, but hey, it's your life

I never heard of that. Maybe it is in its class (small sedans with/without airbags). Also side impacts probably happen much less on the highway than on regular roads - I'd think they'd happen around intersections the most.

I got the side airbags by accident, but I'm glad I did.

It is a bit of a downer to not be able to swap seats tho...

Paid around 18-19k in vegas for a 2004 black RA Auto with S&S i got it in OCT 2004 but i only had the car for 10 days. i brought it back on the 10th day to have all the scratches removed, then i went to school, when my mom picked me up she said i have bad news, the dealer called asking for more money down on the car cause the bank didnt approve, on the same damn day i dropped my car off for detailing and i would understand if on the 3rd day they said oh we need more money down, so we just left it there and didnt have to pay for anything, there was 400 miles on it b4 i got it cause i guess it was a demo car, but i put on another 600 lol and didnt pay anything extra, it was a fun drive tho i still wish i had it, now i have an 03 eclipse GT which has been hell, but i plan on getting an 2005 Evo so i hope it works out

sorry to hear about what ur dealership did, they are all sharks, except for the nice people

Weak man, real weak. Hell, they wouldn't even give me the rebate. I apparently didn't have the right DMV paperwork for my wife's OZ Rally. Heh... that's what loyalty gets ya.

16466 american Dec 11 2004. New '04 ralliart with 100 miles, sun and sound(which I immediately took out and replaced) and no side air bags. A few mech. problems though so far. none have been resolved yet either.

I paid $16, 500 before tax and all that for my 2004 automatic Ralliart. MSRP was $19, 372, no sun and sound package just the Ralliart rugs. I bought it Oct 31 2004. You guys need to specify the options you have on your car and whether it's a 5-speed or auto.
