CarbonTrix logo contest
k, wanted to do something simple that shows relation to RRM. also easy to print and would look great /w other RRM logos. Keeps a similar font (but a bit nicer) for Trix. its not finished, but u get the idea
not too 'OMG*L00K*AT*ME*OMG*OMG!!1ONE!!' (flashy), just how i like it! I wana try to put a CF filter to the word Carbon and keep it embrosed. but i really dunno how a picture of CF would actually look on a product thats....well....cf. kinda camo's the logo and if the patterns dont match, just looks dumb. isnt that defeating the purpose? i dunno =)

RA guys can get a prize too, a RA engine cover. Deal? Deal. Keep up the good work.
ROAD/RACE
ROAD/RACE

15th, not 5th. that woulda given everyone like 2 days
not much of a contest!
ok, here is the last set for this design.
It's color study. Seems like it's just evolving and could go on forever. I really like the use of the letter "C, T, X" to represent Carbon Trix. I think it's a nice brand marketing logo which could be applied to virtually anything.

I want to see some other peoples stuff! More!

anyway sorry to go off-topic. here's a good example of a great graff artists named MEARone. Any graff artist should know about him.

Almost anyone into hip hop or graffiti knows about their forums..
Sorry off topic. And no disrespect meant drift...
My boyfriend is one of those kids in the art schools you speak of..
Twister, I think I know that guy? maybe be not. Anyway, this guy who called himself twister used to go down in subways and do his stuff in NY. Last time I talked to him, he was arrested for doing that and was laughing about it. lol
here is a desing I put together last night. Very basic (the way I like my logos) but LOL plokivos I had a design just like that with the CTX stackd together except my crossed above my X. Its on my pad with all my other sketches of the logos. But here is this one. Gonna try some more tonight

I went at this a more logical way. From a design standpoint, to me, a successful ad/marketing/logo campaign/design should relate to the company. After all, that's how the brain works...by recognition and association. For instance, when you see the Michelin man you associate it with tires...cause, well, he looks like a stack of tires. Same with the Oscar Meyer logo. Your brain relates the yellow and red colors to ketchup and mustard...the primary condiments for hotdogs.
Anyway, given the technical nature of carbon fiber and, for that matter, RRE and what they do, I started thinking about carbon...and what it is - one of the most basic elements in the universe. I started thinking about it at the molecular level and how it's explained diagramatically. I did a web search and here's what I came up with:
Carbon fiber is a polymer which is a form of graphite. Graphite is a form of pure carbon. In graphite the carbon atoms are arranged into big sheets of hexagonal aromatic rings.
This led me to this preliminary design:

Further brainstorming realized this design:

This is a more traditional style 2D line diagram.
Finally, we have fruition:

Let me know what you guys think.
P.S.
See the next post for color stuff
